| I am just curious, I love my gas scooter seat, its so much fun, and in the great state of Oklahoma, quite a bit unique, there is only a small group of scooter owners here. I was thinking about getting a motorcycle too, this city is so spread out that there is alot of highway driving almost anywhere I go, and I just don't trust the drivers here enough to go on the highway with my scooter, but would feel safe being able to really punch it and get away if I needed to on the highway. The reason I ask, is if you do have 2 cycles, does one get neglected? Or do you ride both gas scooter seat the same, I am just trying to decide, keep my scoot, trade my scoot, or have both. |
| Well I got to meet Michael from CT. Great looking Blue LX, you should see the pinstripes! Seriously, he did a nice job. I'm going to look into getting a half windscreen like he had. We had a "local" rally and some riders came from quite a distance. We met in Sleepy Hollow NY at the cemetary....do a google map, and you too can see our ride! The NJ side started in englewood cliffs, nj up 9W over the tapanzee bridge and north through tarrytown to Sleepy Hollow. The fall leaves were about at their peak and I was just happy to have made it. I left the rally early, I didn't want to get caught out in the dark, on a highway on a new scoot that couldn't really do speed yet. Now 20 years ago would have been a different story! Since I'm new to the whole scooter scene, I didn't realize there were two distinct groups, the classics and the new models. I learned alot. As for the break in, I varied the speeds, there was enough stop and go, and we didn't have more than 5 minutes of above 50 the whole trip. It was alot of fun to ride with others, I felt safer in the "pack" on my gas scooter seat than alone. So the verdict so far is I couldn't be happier with the LX150 |
