| I have had the big windshield on my red ET4 for 3 years so screw your gas scooter snow
It is surely nice on cold mornings and nights. I have had not problem with stability or top speed. The scoot does 60 + on the level with me weighting 175 lbs with the big windshield.
It has stopped loads of rain, gas scooter snow, bugs, rocks, dust and one night a bat. I use it summer and winter.
The sound of the scoot is a little different with the windshield. You will hear your engine more but the wind noise is virtually gone. |
I looked at Crystal's cut down windshield. Nice job. However, it doesn't look like a Vespa/Piaggio gas scooter snow windshield.
My windshield is the tallest Piaggio model that I purchased at the Vespa shop.
The four vertical support holes on Crystal's windshield seems to be much closer together then on my tall Piaggio windshield gas scooter snow.
I have never had any noticeable flapping on my windshield. However, I did get a stone chip last winter at the right edge of the windshield. It developed into a crack about 1/4 inch in length running to the beading. I stop drilled the crack and it has not grown since. |
